| Nicole Noelle designs and creates jewelry in her studio in Free Union, Virginia. Her work grows out of a family tradition of art and architecture. She is the author of two books on jewelry design, "Freshwater Pearl Jewelry" and "Jewelry with Hardware, Gems and Beads". Her designs are available in exclusive galleries and shops in Virginia, New England, Nantucket and additionally in North Carolina and Toronto in the Spring. The Collection Designs centered on the freshwater pearl. Unusual shapes, sizes and combinations help dictate how each design will evolve. Constructed of stainless steel, aluminum and other metals, Softhardwear combines ordinary hardware with gems and pearls. A variety of media is utilized: rubber washers are woven in bold designs and screening material provides a framework for exploration. It is modern and innovative.
